Red Mesa Science & Refining, LLC, employs CBD Manufacturing employees to process industrial hemp biomass into safe, high-quality, and effective industrial hemp oils and related products. These individuals are responsible for operating machinery, ensuring production standards are met, finalizing products and preparing them for shipping. Also responsible for properly storing products and maintaining equipment and materials necessary to run a world-class CBD extraction and production facility.

Manufacturing Operators perform manufacturing tasks associated with processing industrial hemp biomass into safe, high-quality, and effective industrial hemp oils and related products. These individuals are responsible for operating and machinery, ensuring production standards are met, finalizing products, and preparing them for shipping. Additional qualifications, responsibilities and authorities are described below.

Shifts Available:

Day: 6AM to 2:30PM

Swing: 2PM to 10:30PM (12.5% Shift Differential Premium Pay)

Graveyard: 10PM to 6:30AM (25% Shift Differential Premium Pay)

Prior experience in the Food Ingredient or Dietary Supplement industry preferred.

Manufacturing Operator Responsibilities:

  • Train to the documents and procedures applicable to your role.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local requirements for hygienic and safe manufacturing operations.
  • Pass a competency evaluation for safe operation of processes and equipment systems required for your role.
  • Inform a Shift Lead or Supervisor immediately if any issues with equipment, fixtures, material, or process arise.
  • Fill out lot sheets completely and accurately.
  • Adhere to developed processes and standards for written entries and/or records.
  • Provide all QMS-relevant documented information to your Shift Lead or Quality Assurance for retention.
  • Identify and communicate new, emerging, and mitigated risks; support the Audit and Risk Committee by providing risk and mitigation information.
  • Notify your Shift Lead or Supervisor of any low inventory items required for your role which need replenishment.
  • Perform end-of-shift cleaning activities for your area.
  • Notify the Quality Assurance and/or Customer Service team of any customer feedback or complaints.
  • Notify Facilities Personnel of any sightings or unusual level of pests.

Manufacturing Operator Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to learn manufacturing processes, equipment, and machinery.
  • Identify and resolve quality control issues and monitor production output.
  • Detail oriented and ability to identify changes in process parameters.
  • Awareness of potential hazards and adherence to safety procedures and protocols.
  • Clear and effective communication when working with their team and interdepartmentally.
  • Ability to familiarize yourself with manufacturing software.
  • Ability to identify and report technical problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work interdepartmentally to successfully achieve production goals.
  • Prioritize and complete tasks within specific deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in production schedules, equipment, or procedures.
  • Can manipulate tools required to interact with equipment systems.
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
  • Available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
  • Must be 21 years old and must pass both a UT and FBI background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
