Qualitex, Inc. - Manufacturing Process Engineer Position (Medical Devices)

Job description

This position will work in our engineering department to launch new products into production and oversee these projects during production. New launch of products include creating CNC programs, setup sheets, tool lists & documentation. Working with Quality Engineers to develop in-process inspection plans and criteria. Projects will be primarily focused on launching new medical device components such as instruments & implants. You will work closely with other Process Engineers, Design Engineers & Quality Engineers, all of which make up our engineering department. In addition to engineering functions you will work with CNC Machinists & Operators during the launch and maintaining of products. Process improvement, cost savings and lead-time reduction through scheduling will be a vital part of the job.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Program parts using CAD/CAM software's for CNC operations
  • Develop fixtures and workholding
  • Create CNC setup sheets for operators
  • Specify tooling and recommendations to optimize each process
  • Plan timelines for productions schedules
  • Assist in setups and operator training

Min. Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Manufacturing Technology, Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
  • 2-3 years previous experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Strong aptitude for creating detailed drawings and instructions
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Creative and innovative thinker and planner
  • Good communication skills
  • Organize and maintain existing engineering records

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
