- One position available, qualified candidate may work in any Horizon Farm Credit branch available. Preferred branch locations include: Westminster, Frederick, or Bel Air, MD. Hybrid schedule may be available.
Position Description: Marketing Specialist works on developing and executing projects, initiatives, and campaigns to assist the Association in achieving its business goals, while helping to build a strong, positive identify for Farm Credit within the marketplace. Provides training and guidance to staff. Assists with the development and facilitation of departmental training for the Association.
Areas of Responsibility include:
- In collaboration with the marketing and communications team members, creates develops, and distributes materials to support the marketing objectives of the Association and its various departments, which includes but is not limited to printed and digital collateral and mailings, pertinent market research, and content development.
- Develops and executes campaigns, printed advertisements, and direct mail pieces to promote the Association’s products and services to support its business objectives. Includes tracking effectiveness of all efforts in CRM and other reporting platforms.
- Assists with sponsorship and event management at the Association level, maintaining relationships with industry partners and community members. Assists marketing and communications department with the development of content in various forms (written, video, podcast, etc.) for the Association’s website and social media platforms.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, or Communication, or equivalent experience.
- At least one year of marketing and communications experience required. Knowledge of sales preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of sales, marketing, and advertising strategies and tactics, including digital and social media marketing.
- Ability to analyze issues or challenges and identify potential solutions and/or customer and project needs.
- Ability to work in a rapid paced and highly collaborative team environment.
- Ability to foster open communications; demonstrated listening and speaking skills.
- General knowledge of agriculture preferred, but not required.
- Ability to travel for farm visits, branches, training, etc.
