- Past experience as a Masonry Foreman a benefit
- Experience as a lead mason minimum 5 years.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and to operate heavy equipment.
- Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications and other documents.
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have good organizational skills.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Proficient in all avenues of masonry layout.
Job Tasks:
- Leading and managing the on-site masonry team.
- Attending all onsite meetings as necessary.
- Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule and budget, and ensuring adherence to these.
- Ensuring quality standards are met.
- Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
- Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness and orderliness.
- Be able to work in all weather and with various materials
- Installing all kinds of masonry block of all sizes
- Installing stone veneer
- Installing brick
- Grinding and tuck pointing
- Maintaining tools & workspaces
- Cutting, shaping, & dressing materials
- Lifting, carrying, and placing prepared blocks
- Restoring old & worn masonry
- Texturing and polishing blocks of stone
- Installing dressed stone
- Mixing cement and mortar
