Material Control Specialist – Manufacturing Planning

About the position:
We're looking for a Material Control Specialist touse our JD Edwards Enterprise Software and maintain responsibility for expeditiously resolving factory disruptions caused by purchased parts, sustaining a 98% supplier on-time delivery metric, achieving inventory investment goals, rationalizing / executing NCM disposition, and resolving any A/P remittance issues for all parts and suppliers assigned.You will:

• Determines material requirements from planning systems, customer orders, engineering and production schedules and/or changes, customer orders, and maintains inventory at planned levels.
• Determines the quantities, delivery schedules of raw material, purchased parts, and assemblies required to sustain scheduled production and/or to implement engineering change.
• Ensures all materials related to Change Requests are appropriately routed and completed and that all impacted areas receive final change distribution in accordance with work instructions.
• May process rejected parts and take corrective action for replacement, rework or credit.
• Schedules and coordinates flow of work within or between departments of manufacturing plant.
• Reviews Master Production Schedule, work orders, and the planning system. Responds to priorities for specified customer orders and revises schedule accordingly.
• Ensures system files are updated with proper information.
• May serve as a facilitator for planning/inventory/change committees or lead teams for assigned products/product lines.
• Requires strong interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
• High-level of attention to detail with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good computer skills are required to use Microsoft Office Suite and a variety of other software.
• Expedites critical orders to suppliers in response to unplanned demand changes, ensuring quick adaption to need.

About the schedule:
This position is 1st shift and will typically work 6:00AM – 2:30PM Monday - Friday

About you:

• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in material control planning is preferred.
• APICS certification is preferred.
• Experience with JD Edwards Enterprise Software required

About the total compensation package:
Salary - Salaries ranging from $50,800 - $65,200 per year depending on experience
Relocation - This position may qualify for relocation.
