Thermo Fisher Scientific Viral Vector Services (VVS), is a rapidly growing, dynamic gene therapy contract development and manufacturing organization. Schedule/Hours: Rotating 12-hour day shift 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
Location: Cambridge MA Building 2
How will you make an impact?
Provide logistical support to all departments. This may include the movement of all materials and products to and from all Manufacturing and warehouse storage areas. Includes the confirmation of all incoming material as well as the preparation, staging and loading of all shipments. The incumbent will perform in a teamwork environment interacting with all Personnel, thus providing their customers (internal and external) with the highest possible level of service.
What Will You Do?
- Ensure safe, timely and accurate delivery of materials between all production and warehouse storage areas, while complying with all regulatory and internal procedures.
- Ensure safe, timely and accurate confirmation of all inventoriable and non-inventoriable items, including inspection for damages, confirming quantities and expiries.
- Follow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in site initiatives to improve material handling capabilities.
- Use SAP to request and remove material from inventory.
- Review inventory levels and order materials as needed.
- Perform cycle and inventory counts as directed.
- Manage storage space efficiently.
- Receiving materials making sure they are processed, documented, and maintained in accordance with standard operating procedures, including the handling of temperature sensitive and hazardous materials and delivery to correct locations.
- Maintain cGMP compliance to include labeling, FEFO, documentation, cleaning, etc.
How will you get here?
Education
- High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is required.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year warehouse or GMP experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong judgment, decision making abilities, trouble shooting and thinking-out-of-the-box skills.
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with cGMP's, SOP's, SAP, WHMIS and safety regulations.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time.
- Manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of up to 40 pounds.
- Arm, hand and finger dexterity
- Visual acuity to operate equipment and read materials for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
- Use of Personal Protective equipment is required and may include any of the following: safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, gloves, hair net, beard cover, safety apron, respirator.
- Must be fluent in English
