POSITION OVERVIEW:Must work with the day to day and long term operation of assigned Meat and Seafood operations in retail stores. Give recommendations to ensure appropriate direction in regards to merchandising, sales and profit opportunities. Assist stores in pricing and projections, including training and educational. Hands on coverage when needed. Territory Coverage Mid-Atlantic Region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides effective merchandising guidelines for retail stores that provide the customer with a point of difference.
- Demonstrate Strong Meat and Seafood skills supporting highly effective results in the sales and merchandising of Meat and Seafood.
- Clearly communicate, promote, and support Meat and Seafood Sales, initiatives and goals as well as supporting our partners (stores).
- Provide a category analysis of product positioning, varieties as needed. Provide specific recommendations on assortment needs of meat products.
- Participation in company and industry events and functions.
- Follow all deadlines for projects.
- Contribute to the set up and successful Merchandising of new and existing stores.
- Provide feedback of successes and opportunities to category and merchandising areas.
- Arrange regular store visits. Monitor, analyze, review conditions and follow up with these observations through store visits including sales and merchandising.
- Immediate and proactive actions to resolve and correct issues.
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.
- A team player with level of dedication.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Maintain the company’s professional and ethical standards in the performance of responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of our company and our stores.
- Four or more years at Management Level.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-starter and the ability to work under minimal guidance.
- Know all product lines pertaining to Meat & Seafood.
- Communicate with other departments when servicing your customer needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High School or GED Required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- This position may require 8 to 10 hour days, flexible hours, extensive automobile travel including weekends and overnight stays as needed.
- Standing/Walking, Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling, Lifting/Pushing/Pulling.
- Proficient in cutting meat.
