Mechanical Assembly Technician Position

We are a manufacturing company known for its high-quality products of industrial electric vehicle systems and material handling equipment, seeking experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician

Skills/Qualifications:

• Able to read and interpret manuals, blueprints/drawings, specifications and written instruction
• 3 years Mechanical assembly experience required
• Equipment repair/maintenance experience
• 2 years Mechanical plumbing experience required
• Fabrication experience
• Manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of mechanical hand tools
• Able to lift 50 lbs. or more
• Forklift
• Able to stand or kneel for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail

Job Description/Duties:

• Build &/or assemble custom electric vehicle & industrial machinery per blueprints &/or work instructions using mechanical hand tools
• Collaborate with project managers and welding supervisors to ensure smooth work operations
• Position and assemble components, custom designed machinery &/or subcomponents by examining components for correct fit & function, fastening parts and/or subassemblies using templates, measuring devices and mechanical tools per instructions &/or specifications
• Verify & inspect completed component &/or product to ensure it meets drawing/written specifications
• Resolve assembly problems by addressing issues to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources if necessary
• Keep equipment and machinery operational by completing preventive maintenance; troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions as needed
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Document maintenance and repairs by completing production and/or quality forms
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other duties as needed &/or directed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
