Location: Gaithersburg, MD
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 DOE + Benefits

Mechanical Estimator Description

Our client in the HVAC & Plumbing service industry is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to add to their team in Gaithersburg, MD. This position is in the office, with occasional job site visits. You will establish project costs for HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial projects. To qualify, you must have at least five years of mechanical estimating experience and experience working on commercial HVAC and plumbing projects. Candidates with experience working on project sizes from $100k – $4 million will be a strong addition to the team. Mechanical Estimator Responsibilities

• Obtain quotes for all equipment and materials
• Set standards for the estimating process
• Perform material take off
• Create estimate sheets
• Visit and analyze all potential job sites
• Review customer requirements
• Maintain bid board and meet bid deadlines
• Create and maintain project documents
• Meet with Engineering/Project Manager to transfer project information

Mechanical Estimator Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical estimating experience required
• Experience working on commercial projects required
• Estimating software experience required
• Efficient computer and mathematic skills required
• Familiarity with blueprints required
• Ability to work onsite in the office required
