As a complement to our design capabilities, Encorus also operates a fully equipped and accredited in-house civil materials testing laboratory out of its West Seneca office. This group provides comprehensive field inspection of concrete, masonry, soils, asphalt, structural steel, and other construction related materials, as well as the associated laboratory testing required to meet specifications and standards. Our field and laboratory technicians and inspectors are trained and certified to a variety of standards including ACI, CWI, NICET, etc.

Position Description:
Encorus Group is looking for a Mechanical Integrity Inspector to work under the direct supervision of our Mechanical Integrity Inspection Manager and will be responsible for the inspection and evaluation of customer equipment to ensure that it is safe to continue to operate at its stated design conditions. This position is responsible for communicating with the customer to understand their expectations, as well as, to communicate company requirements and the results of the services provided in a professional and timely manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform field inspection and testing services for fixed equipment which may include, but not limited to: API-510 Pressure Vessels, API-570 Process Piping, and API-653 / STI SP001 Storage Tanks
- Locate, read and understand the Federal, State and Local requirements governing equipment that is being inspected.
- Communicate with supervisor if there are questions regarding completion of the scope of work.
- Ability to read and interpret Process and Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID).
- Ability to produce isometric drawings of piping and equipment with accurate orientation.
- Perform nondestructive examinations in the methods certified by the company.
- Utilize software (UltraPipe, Excel) and governing standards to evaluate the fitness for service / remaining life of inspected equipment.
- Uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include wearing a respirator, and follows appropriate health and safety practices.
- Performs routine maintenance of designated test equipment (ultrasonic equipment, air monitors, etc.).
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES PREFERRED:
- Atleast one: API Certification, AWS CWI, MT/PT/UT/UTT/ET Level II Qualified or ability to obtain.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelors Degree in technical field preferred.
- Obtain and keep inspection / NDE certifications current, as directed by the company.
- Maintains a valid driver license and is able to drive a motor vehicle in the course of collecting samples, performing field tests and conducting inspections.
