The Appointment Scheduler is responsible for scheduling appointments, providing &online insurance verification, triage phones calls from patients and facilities, &This position will work in tandem with front desk and patient care secretaries.

Responsibilities

  • Manages phone calls and triages/manages calls from patients/pharmacies/insurance companies and other facilities.
  • Schedules patient appointments including online insurance verification.
  • Follows-up patients with missed appointments.
  • Obtain &authorizations for Motor Vehicle and Workers Compensation patients.
  • Monitors webchat via Snap Engage daily and responds to patient inquiries.
  • Manages calls from hospitals and physician offices and routes to the appropriate people.
  • Creates telephone encounters as necessary.
  • Interacts with other departments within the organization.
  • Performs other duties as requested by the Supervisor/Office Manager as directed for business needs.
  • Follows all the customer service standard&
  • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of timesheets/ time records for hours work and payroll processing. Time records must be completed and approved by employee no later than close of business on last day of each pay period.
  • Responsible for timely completion of all new hire training, departmental training and yearly compliance training (Hpro) on an ongoing basis

Requirements
Minimum 1 year experience in a medical setting
Excellent phone skills
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
