Synergy is growing again and we are looking to add experienced Medical Assistants to our team! The Medical Assistant/Wellness Coordinator performs administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of licensed personnel. Duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, recording vital signs, documenting side effects, and supervising the self-administration of medications as directed by licensed personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise & document resident self-administration of medication.
  • Report significant findings: e.g., notable changes in patient's physical or mental condition to licensed personnel.
  • Under the direction of a licensed professional, assist in the provision of care as indicated in the interdisciplinary treatment/ recovery plan.
  • Assist in the performance of medical safety searches.
  • Collect and label laboratory specimens as directed in the policy and procedure manual.
  • Obtain monthly self-report re-assessment measures.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as resident intake, client coordination, and medical record requests.
  • Obtain & track Prior Authorizations from Managed Care Payers.
  • Review & prepare clinical documentation for coding & billing.
  • Perform other administrative & clinical duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of a two (2) year Medical Assistant Degree program.
  • Certification or registration through an accrediting body is preferred but not required (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, or NAHP).
  • A passion and desire to help others in their journey to recovery.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
