TEMP TO HIRE OPPORTUNITY
VARIOUS DAYS/ROTATING WEEKENDS REQUIRED
POSITION SUMMARY
Enables patients to secure access to care at PIH Health facilities by performing all tasks related to registration and pre-registration of outpatient and inpatient accounts. Calculates and secures patient liability, including copayments, coinsurance and deductibles in an efficient, accurate and hospitable manner to ensure that the patient, physician and hospital's needs are.
REQUIRED
- 2+ yrs experience in front office/medical billing and/or current hospital registration/admitting.
- 2+ yrs experience in insurance verification and/or medical/hospital billing.
- High school graduate required or equivalent.
- Knowledge of eligibility requirements for Medical, Hospital Presumptive Eligibility Program, Medicare, Covered California,
- Cobra, limited benefit plans, VVC and Uncompensated Care Programs.
- IPA and EMTALA knowledge and experience.
- Stringent adherence to all HIPAA laws.
- Medical terminology.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Los Angeles, CA 90017: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Medical billing: 1 year (Preferred)
- Insurance verification: 1 year (Preferred)
