Hopewell Health Centers is a nationally accredited federally qualified health and community mental health center with 23 sites across TEN counties throughout Southeastern Ohio (Athens, Franklin, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Perry, Ross, Vinton, and Washington). We are currently seeking an Office Assistant to join our Athens, OH team.

As an Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing office/administrative support to the site manager and others as deemed necessary. This position may involve cross training for the front office specialist position. Some of these duties include:

  • Assures that workflow through the office is maintained efficiently, timely, professionally and the work is at high quality at all times
  • Assures that clients, callers, visitors and others contacting the clinic are responded to in a cordial, courteous, timely and professional manner; a positive public image of the office is represented.
  • Assures that messages are received and conveyed via voice mail to appropriate staff.
  • Assures the confidentiality of all records, conversations, and other information is maintained within the clinic.
  • Provide general office assistance per agency / clinic policy and procedures including ordering/maintaining supplies, photo copier/fax machine, and postage meter, distribution of mail, filing and typing.
  • Inventory and stock office supplies; timesheets, requisitions, travel and other forms as needed.
  • Assist with retention/destruction of records for the site.
  • Handle scheduling and posting of the multipurpose room; setting up video conferencing equipment and working with maintenance staff to set up room.
  • Assist and maintain with distribution of keys.

*This is a full time position working Monday-Friday.*

  • Eligible to work in the United Stated
  • High School diploma, post high school education preferred.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication;
  • File management, typing, data entry, reception, and general clerical skills.
  • Person must be able to maintain confidentiality and represent the organization with a positive public image on the phone and in person.
