This position will assist a large department with day-to-day data verification, data entry, and customer service.
A Day in the Life:
- Locate, retrieve, and file medical records utilizing Allscripts and the computerized chart location system
- Sort loose filing and file individual patient documents into the appropriate medical record
- Edit transcribed documents and route to appropriate physician for signature
- Copy and mail out correspondence
- Answers telephone, takes phone requests, route callers to proper area
- Respect patient privacy by maintaining confidentiality in all phases of work
- Perform quality assurance activities and additional assignments as requested by the Medical Records Supervisor
What You’ll Bring:
- Be self-motivated, detail-oriented, have the ability to multitask, problem solve and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical record automated information systems preferred
- 1 year of experience in a medical records preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
