Medical Technologist II, Full Time, Days, Baptist Medical Center Clay

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Technologist to join our Laboratory department at Baptist Medical Center Clay. This is a full-time, day shift opportunity working 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM with rotating weekends. As a Medical Technologist, you will have the opportunity to work in a brand new, state of the art facility. Baptist Clay is located on Fleming Island and it is our newest campus that just opened December 2022! This candidate must have at least two years of experience as a Medical Technologist and be licensed within the State of Florida as a Medical Technologist Generalist. This candidate must also have Blood Bank experience as well. This candidate will be working with a smaller team on the night shift and must be comfortable working independently. Training for this position will take place on the day shift.
As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining expertise and performing technical, specimen collection/processing, LIS, general department, and clerical functions in one or more laboratory sections.
- Maintaining records of performance as defined in the laboratory's general and sectional policy and procedure manuals.
- Maintaining records of performance as defined in the SOP manuals.
- Instructing new employees and students.
- Working under the supervision of the Director and Section Supervisors, however, this candidate can perform all responsibilities of this job description without on-site supervision.
