Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced therapist/counselor to join our team at New Start Psychological Care. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to help individuals struggling with mental health issues and be able to provide a supportive, caring environment. This person will be knowledgeable in individual, family, and/or group therapies and will be able to coordinate with family and referral sources. Clinicians will be providing counseling both in-person and via tele-health. All necessary devices should be obtained prior to operating remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct clinical assessments using a variety of sources, methods, and approaches including, but not limited to, standardized testing tools to evaluate and diagnose clients with behavioral, social, or emotional problems referred by counselors, psychologists, district staff and outside organizations.
• Provide crisis intervention, individual and group treatment, psychotherapy, and family services.
• Provide ongoing treatment and counseling; monitor progress in program related activities and effectiveness of psychotherapy and treatment; process related forms and application; follow-up and re-evaluate appropriately.
• Maintain confidentiality of treatment records, reports, and other sensitive and privilege information.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
• Attend and participate in assigned meeting, conference, and in-services.
• Operate office equipment including a computer and assigned software.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- LCSW, LPC, LSW, LAC, or LAMFT license (Required)

- Master’s degree (Preferred)

- 1-2 years as a clinical counselor (Preferred)

- Work Authorization (Required)

- Bilingual (Preferred)

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
