Private practice seeking part- and full-time, master's level therapists to work in our Willowbrook and/or Park Ridge locations. A hybrid (remote/in person) schedule is available. Candidates must be licensed or licensure-eligible as an LSW/LCSW, LPC/LCPC, or ALMFT/LMFT in the state of Illinois.

Therapists will carry a caseload of 10-25+ clients. Candidates should be willing to work a minimum of two evenings per week; daytime and weekend hours are also options for seeing clients depending on therapist background, skills, and interests.

Our practice, Life Counseling Institute, offers outstanding clinical support, a friendly team approach, and great training and professional development opportunities. We see suburban men and women, couples, young adults, teens, and children and attracts highly educated, high-functioning clients who can benefit greatly from your skills.

We focus extensively on counseling individuals with serious anxiety disorders, especially OCD; helping couples improve their relationship; addressing postpartum issues and mom stress; and providing counseling to children and teens.

We offer a wonderfully collegial work environment with the following benefits:

  • A team of highly skilled group of clinicians who are fun, knowledgeable, and supportive
  • Huge emphasis on professional development and growth, multiple training events (on topics such as trauma, counselor well being, and anxiety)
  • A beautiful office setting
  • Competitive compensation
  • Health and dental insurance; short-term disability insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Retirement plan with employer match
  • Paid professional liability insurance
  • Consistent referrals and marketing services
  • Administrative support, billing and intake services
  • W-2 employment status, providing non-independently licensed clinicians the chance to work in private practice
  • Professional development stipend
  • Strong sense of community among staff
  • Weekly consultation/supervision
  • Opportunity to create your own unique offerings such as workshops and groups
  • Fun staff outings and events
  • Opportunity to work in a thriving private practice setting and be part of a fun, highly professional, and collaborative team

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Candidates should be proactive, skilled, attuned, and highly engaging with clients, with solid clinical judgment and decision-making ability.
  • Experience in providing (or strong motivation to learn) evidence-based counseling to individuals within a solid framework or treatment approach. A specialty is strongly desired, such as child therapy, couples therapy, or exposure therapy for anxiety.
  • Private practice experience is preferred but not required
  • A positive, optimistic attitude that embraces flexibility and change
  • Top candidates are eager learners and willing to put in the time to learn new skills, through reading and attending regular trainings and consultations.
  • Exceptional ability to be warm, active, and engaging with clients while also having solid clinical skills to guide clients toward change.
  • Top candidates are experienced, fully licensed therapists interested in a career position focusing on clinical work, professional development opportunities, and the sense of community that comes from working with highly skilled, engaging therapists who work collaboratively, in a group practice environment.
  • Highest preference given to candidates with experience or training in working with couples (especially LMFTs) or serious anxiety disorders, especially OCD.

Please join us in the work you were meant to do, helping clients create lasting change in their lives by being an outstanding therapist in a strong private practice dedicated to your professional development and well-being.
