Essential Functions of the position are detailed below, and include any physical requirements below that.
1. Provides services including child behavioral health assessments, individualized care plans in collaboration with the teaching staff (as applicable), individualized and/or group therapeutic interventions with an emphasis on play, art, and music to three Child Development Centers during Centers' hours of operation.
2. Provides consultation, training, and assistance to Child Development Center staff and works collaboratively with teaching staff to incorporate therapeutic activities into weekly/monthly Early Childhood Education program schedules.
3. Works independently and consistently exercises discretion and sound judgment in providing short and long-term counseling services as well as stabilization and support services to children and families needing specialized
behavioral health services. May provide case management services. Seeks appropriate consultation with Child Development Center staff and parents/guardians as needed.
4. Helps assess children with challenges/special needs by participating in activities in various classrooms and assists with coaching/modeling interactions to staff.
