Job Title: Microbiologist III

Location: Sinking Spring, PA 19608

Duration: 9 months

Job Description:

• Perform day-to-day laboratory functions such as media prep, growth promotion, autoclaving, microbial identifications, and sterility testing of product and biological indicators

• Provide microbiological testing support for validation activities, manufacturing, and engineering

• Generate and organize environmental monitoring and bioburden reports

• Assist with management of laboratory reagents and supplies

• Execute routine microbiological testing (environmental monitoring, water, and bioburden)

Skills

• Basic computer skills (MS Excel and Word)

• Basic microbiological testing experience (isolation/identification techniques, membrane filtration)

• Basic laboratory equipment: pH meters, particle counters, microbial air samplers, autoclaves, glassware washers.

Education

• Minimum of Associates Degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, or related science

• Preferred: BS in Microbiology, Chemistry, or related science

• Substitute 5 years’ experience working in a microbiology lab in a FDA regulated industry.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: Up to $35.72 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
