We have an exciting opportunity for a Microbiology Analytical Technologist to join our company at our Harbor Beach, MI production facility. The Microbiology Analytical Technologist will perform activities requiring aseptic technique in a clean room environment, routine and non-routine analysis, with awareness to safety, health, and the environment.

Team members work 12 hour shifts including working holidays as scheduled and every other weekend. Our team provides continuous coverage, 7 days/week with overtime as needed to support production needs. We are looking for candidates who take initiative, love to learn, work hard, and have a stable work history. Candidates from all industry backgrounds are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities – What You Will Do:

How will you help us grow? It matters to us, and it matters to you!

  • Ensure the microbiology lab systems and processes are maintained in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Safely and efficiently perform microbiology lab operations and utilize analytical methods including Industrial User Permit sample analysis.
  • Perform activities requiring aseptic technique in clean room environment per the production schedule.
  • Accountable for providing timely and accurate analytical results for routine and non-routine analysis.
  • Routine evaluation via microscope of production samples.
  • General laboratory duties – raw material weigh up, supply replenishment, prepping instruments, preparing analytical instrument solutions, etc.
  • Operate HPLC, GC, assays, miscellaneous lab equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • You have a high school diploma/GED.
  • You are self-directed and able to work well within the context of a shift team environment.
  • You have good computer skills and are comfortable using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • You have proven leadership skills and can inspire others and lead them through influence.
  • You have good problem-solving skills and think analytically.
  • You are willing and able to work a rotating shift and work overtime hours including holidays and weekends to support production goals.

Preferences – It Would Be Great If You Have:

  • Previous laboratory experience.
  • Medical Technologist training.
  • Microbiology classes.
  • BS in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry.
