Job description
Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented, self-motivated, experienced Radar Analyst to join a diverse team that provides analysis, modeling & simulation, and testing support for complex Missile Defense Agency (MDA) radar systems. We have offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The applicant will join a group of highly technical engineers and analysts supporting multiple radar applications and components of the Missile Defense System (MDS). The candidate will perform analysis, modeling & simulation (M&S), and test and evaluation (T&E) of advanced radar systems with emphasis in areas such as discrimination, tracking, debris mitigation, and electronic protection. Efforts may include the assessment of both fielded and conceptual algorithms to analyze performance, recommend improvements, and improve system-level performance of radars critical to national defense. The candidate may also support the development, verification, and/or validation of state-of-the-art radar digital simulations and signal injection capabilities.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Radar Engineering, or a related STEM discipline, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in radar design, modeling & simulation, analysis, or software development. Advanced degrees in STEM disciplines are also strongly encouraged to apply and may be considered in lieu of experience.
Position requires strong analysis skills, including proficiency with MATLAB, familiarity with compiled software languages such as C/C++, and interest in a broad array of radar topics.
Candidate should have familiarity with signal processing, probability and statistics, and basic software design principles.
Working on-site at customer facilities on a multi-contractor team and interacting regularly with industry partners and the government customer, the candidate will be expected to represent Dynetics technically, professionally, and ethically.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Other Qualifications
Ideally, candidate will have an interest in, and exposure to, complex radar systems (such as the AN/TPY-2, SBX, LRDR, CD, and UEWR BMDS radars). Candidates with experience in radar analysis and/or modeling & simulation are preferred
