Pay: Starting at $38,000-$50,000+ (depends on experience)
Qualifications:
1. Holds a Michigan Teaching Certificate with a K-8 all subjects or math endorsement.
2. Demonstrated competencies in areas of interpersonal relationships/team teaching, communication
and organization.
3. Has experience working with 2-8th grade students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Effectively teach and assess math standards using the Envision Math Curriculum. Effectively
teach Social Studies and team teach Second Step (SEL).
2. Participate in meetings and other required district and building professional development.
3. Manages and instructs students on appropriate behavior using positive behavior support
strategies consistent with board policy and procedures.
4. Maintain instructional areas/shared spaces, supplies, equipment and facilities in a clean/safe
condition.
5. Creates Unit Plans that include projects (PBL), keeps records and data collection relative to
student progress.
6. Participates in special instructional activities to meet program and student goals.
7. Maintains confidentiality and follows established policies/procedures re: student’s medical
concerns, safety, student rights, emergency/disaster plans and so forth.
8. Follows all policies and the staff handbook.
