This is a full time position located in Elko, Nevada. Relocation to the area is required.

Our Maintenance division is growing, and we are looking for Maintenance Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong maintenance background with experience in troubleshooting and repairing mining equipment vital for production.

Responsibilities for the Open Pit and Underground Mobile and Fixed Maintenance Technicians:

• Safely service, repair, and trouble shoot both hydraulic and electric mobile equipment, including but not limited to bolters, haul trucks, loaders, drills, graders and dozers
• Maintain and repair a fleet of Cat, Liebherr, Sandvick and Catepillar mobile equipment

Qualifications for Open Pit and Underground Mobile and Fixed Maintenance Technicians:

• Two (2) years of experience in the mechanical maintenance of heavy equipment preferred
• Strong understanding of electrical and hydraulic schematics preferred
• Background in repairing drilling and bolting equipment preferred
• Ability to work in inclement weather conditions required
• Comprehensive understanding of equipment service manuals required
• Ability to provide own tools required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. required
• Proven track record to be self-directed, team orientated and work with minimum supervision required
• Dedication to working safely and to standards required
• Excellent attendance record required

Responsibilities for Process Maintenance Technicians:

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on mine processing equipment
• Repair and rebuild mine process equipment including pumps, gearboxes, crushing/processing equipment including jaw, gyratory and cone crushers, and conveyor belts
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications for the Process Maintenance Technicians:

• Four (4) years as a journeyman in industrial maintenance or two (2) years maintenance school (completed with certificate) preferred
• Proven experience reading blueprints and drawings preferred
• Experience in TIG and MIG welding stainless steel and titanium pipe preferred
• Millwright experience preferred
• Excellent safety and attendance record required

About Nevada Gold Mines

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.

The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018.
