We are seeking a Mission Analyst to lead technical coordination efforts across the National Security Space Enterprise (NSSE), specifically Battle Management Command, Control, and Communication (BMC3). Our team conducts cradle-to-grave engineering with a focus on the integration of disparate systems supporting command and control of space assets and their integration with terrestrial warfighting capabilities.

We are seeking a Mission Analyst to lead technical coordination efforts across the National Security Space Enterprise (NSSE), specifically Battle Management Command, Control, and Communication (BMC3). Our team conducts cradle-to-grave engineering with a focus on the integration of disparate systems supporting command and control of space assets and their integration with terrestrial warfighting capabilities.
AS A MISSION ANALYST YOU WILL...
Analyze systems and their interfaces in the context of closing mission threads to assure robust, resilient warfighter capabilities (50%).- Develop design and development recommendations for vital mission systems and collaborate with APL staff to investigate areas to improve performance (30%).
- Lead efforts to identify technical risks and recommend resolution approaches to the government sponsors and industry partners. Fulfill the government technical representative role for community wide meetings and briefs (20%).
Qualifications
You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...
Possess a BS in engineering, physics or equivalent.- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in mission systems engineering, systems of systems engineering, or end-to-end kill (effects) chain engineering.
- General knowledge of space systems, to include active and passive sensor systems, communications, etc.
- Have a solid understanding of top-level systems concepts associated with National Security Space programs and systems.
- Have a working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering
- Hold an active Top Secret security clearance and can ultimately obtain TS/SCI level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

- Have an MS in engineering, physics or equivalent.
- Have experience with operational space superiority activities.
- Have proven your ability to interact effectively across multiple disciplines with government and non-government agencies.
- Are an expert in Model-Based Systems Engineering.
Base pay will take into account the selected candidate’s knowledge, experience, skill and/or abilities with consideration for internal parity. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. APL provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, part-time study and training and development. Base pay range for this role: $90,000 - $315,000.
