Overview
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to observe and provide routine analysis of cardiac rhythms displayed on a telemetry monitor. Demonstrates knowledge of life threatening arrhythmias and aberrancies, informs the assigned nurse, and initiates appropriate action. Demonstrates competency in the application of all functions of the telemetry monitoring system. Performs clerical, secretarial, and other duties as assigned.

- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience
- 1-3 years Monitor Technician experience (Preferred)
- Must have EKG experience or training
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (Preferred)
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
