We are looking Motor Winder to join our team
Responsibilities include
- Wind, assemble and install various types of coils in AC/DC rotating machines using industry best practices.
- Inspect various types of electro-mechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical failure
- Dismantle, strip and record coil data for AC and DC machines (motors/generators)
- Cut and form insulation and insert insulation into rotor, stator or armature slots
- Install and align formed or random coils in slots of stators, rotors or armatures
- Identify electrical configurations of all motor types
- Modify or reconfigure motor windings
- Perform quality control testing after the stator or armature is wound
- Conduct testing and performance testing including recording of results
- Complete required job documentation.
- Observe and adhere to quality standards
- Clean/organize shop, as required to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience specifically in winding AC and DC Motors and generators or coils.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent/ related training
- Able to perform basic math functions, and fill out test forms
- Understanding of electrical theory, and strong mechanical aptitude/skills.
- Ability to use precision measuring devices, such as micrometers and calipers
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to understand, perform and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures
- Maintains established standards of quality, productivity and attendance.
- Work overtime and weekends as required
- Authorized to work for any employer in the United States
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift, push, pull, carry items up to 50 lbs.
