Weisburg Landscape Maintenance is a well-known name in the commercial and HOA maintenance community. We are committed to the highest level of professionalism and integrity in the Colorado Springs landscaping market and are looking for skilled field workers to round out our Tough, Quick, Caring, Smart and Respectful Weisburg team!
This is a general labor position that works directly under an assigned Crew Foreman. A great attitude and following direction well with little direct supervision are a must. Safety is always a top priority for us.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Communicates proactively, honestly & effectively.
• Is customer oriented, and highly aware of good public relations
• Performs manual tasks well & with quickness (for example: raking, weed pulling, trash pick-up, shoveling, sweeping, etc.)
• Possesses basic skills related to landscape maintenance such as:
• Mowing and core aerating in straight lines
• Mowing and trimming without damage to trees or other objects.
• Basic pruning and shearing (pruning department)
• Basic clean-up of leaves, needles & debris
• Installing rock or mulch with wheelbarrow & shovel
• Flower and shrub planting
• Mechanical knowledge or experience helpful
• Able to do basic repairs on hand tools & equipment.

· Some knowledge of plant material and planting techniques preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Safety issues require field employees to hear and speak clearly.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

· Walk briskly up to 10 miles a day (4-6 days per week) on challenging terrain such as slopes, rocks, uneven landscaped areas

· Keep up with a quick-paced work environment

· Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

· Frequently stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

· Safely operate commercial mowers & power equipment on challenging terrain.

· Frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

· Have full use of both hands and be able to reach with hands & arms.

· Physically able to move & climb a 28-foot ladder.

EXPECTATIONS OF ALL OUR EMPLOYEES:

· In general, shifts are 7:00am – 5:30pm, Monday – Thursday with a 1/2 hour lunch, and Fridays are used as make up days for inclement weather during week. There are many days when crews will back later than 5:30pm. These hours are approximate only.

· Maintain positive, helpful, and cooperative attitude with coworkers and clients

· Be on time and ready to work each scheduled shift

· Be sober on the job; we have a zero tolerance drug and alcohol policy

• If you have an accident or make a mistake, you must tell your supervisor immediately. Fess up when you mess up.

· Theft of any kind will result in immediate termination.

• While on the job, you must stay busy doing company business at a steady pace – ask supervisors for more tasks if necessary.
• You must not handle personal issues, texts or phone calls except during designated breaks/lunch periods.
• Do quality work with attention to detail that meets or exceeds commercial landscape industry standards.
• Follow all company safety rules & promptly report unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
• Accurately follow verbal/written instructions & paperwork procedures…ask supervisor when not sure.

· Not use company assets or company proprietary information for personal use without permission from management.
