Position Summary:

Under general supervision operates MRI equipment, positions patient to produce diagnostic images in a safe manner and performs related duties. Adjusts the equipment and patient to correct positions for each required film. Instructs and explains the exam to the patient in a kind and pleasant manner. Selects the proper technical factor for each patient. Performs reconstruction and special processing of data. Ensures that all exams are entered appropriately, makes edits as required, moves exams to taken status and verifies for the radiologist to read with all required documents. Arrange, attach or adjusts immobilization and supportive devices to obtain precise position, prevent motion and aid in patient comfort. Practice sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness. Reviews the patient history to obtain pertinent clinical information. Adheres to radiation safety standards; participates in quality improvement and safety programs.



Education & Experience:

  • AA Degree
  • 1+ year of acute care experience

Licenses & Certifications:

  • ARRT
  • State of FL License
  • BLS or BCLS by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Advance Registry within 12 months of hires
