Working in Central Offices, Data Centers, and other end customer facilities installing equipment including, but not limited to, Ciena 6500 series packet-optical platform, Waveserver, and other rack gear.

The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who provides high-quality workmanship and has excellent customer service skills both in person and over the phone.

• Must be able to multi-task under pressure and can work independently.
• Need to be able to climb ladders, and lift at least 50 lbs.
• be proficient using a laptop.
• This job requires extensive travel.
• Wage is determined by experience.

Ideal candidates should possess the following skillsets:

• Firm understanding of Telcordia GR1275 Standards
• DC power
• secondary from equipment to BDFB or fuse panel
• Setting racks/cabinets and installing cable management
• Rack mounting equipment
• reading elevations and facials - Reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, A-to-Z wire lists, plans
• Fiber optic & CAT wiring (including scoping, cleaning, testing, etc)
• Turn up and test (running-config scripts using Ciena FAST system)
• Communication with engineers, customers, and project managers
• Testing and proof of performance reports/records
• Project closeout
