PURPOSE
The Night Auditor will report to the Guest Service Manager. The principle duties of the night auditor will be to balance the accounts of the daily hotel transactions. In addition, you will attend to the needs of hotel guest arriving to check in and respond to guest needs and requests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Night Auditor
- Ensure all aspects of hotel accounting for all areas of hotel operations are processed correctly and accurately recorded, protecting the brank and asset against liability and fraud.
- Audit, balance, post and report on front desk, rooms and all food and beverage outlets’ cash and credit operations and reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely function and optimal operations management.
- Provide rooms management with a clear picture of their performance using the data gathered.
- Problem solve any financial issues or out-of-balance situations.
- Run the night audit final, after ensuring all revenue is in balance.
- Attend to guest needs at the front desk.

Maintain the confidentiality of guests and proprietary information. This includes the following types of items:
- Unpublished financial information.
- Data of Guests/Partners/Vendors/Employees.
- Data entrusted to our company by external parties.
- Pricing/marketing and other undisclosed strategies.
- Documents and processes explicitly marked as confidential.
- Unpublished goals, forecasts, and initiatives marked as confidential.

Physical Requirement Specific to Position:
- Hearing, writing, able to type or use a keyboard.
- Minimum lifting, pushing, pulling of 20 pounds.
- Able to bend, stoop, upward reaching, and manual dexterity.
Additional responsibilities specific to the position:
- Must have exceptional mathematical and computer skills.
- Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certifications.
- CPR training preferred; First Aid training preferred.
- Additional language ability preferred.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Other duties may be assigned.
OTHER
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Driftwood Hospitality Management rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel facilities. Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in hotel accounting preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting systems Sage 100 & Profit Sage a plus.
- Marriott brand system experience with PMS Marsha & Bonvoy preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to prioritize the
SCHEDULE
Must be able to work weekdays, weekends and holiday are a must.
Varying shift for three days include grave hours: 6:00 pm to 2:30 am
Additional shifts for two days include: 11:30 pm to 7:30 am
DRIVER LICENSE
Ability to provide and maintain a valid driver’s license as the position may require the operation of a vehicle.
GROOMING
All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per Driftwood Hospitability Management and Brand standards.
