Pay
- Nuclear experience
- Hourly Range: $40 - $45/hr (depending on experience and certifications)
- No nuclear experience
- Hourly Range: $35 - $38/hr (depending on experience and certifications)

Summary/objective*
An NDE level II holding current certifications in MT, PT, UTT (Thickness and Straight Beam), and VT Level II (CP189 Section 11).
They should be competent in reading isometric drawings and navigating through the plant to walk down the components based on drawings, pictures, component labeling, and piping configurations. They should be able to perform NDE (UTT, MT, PT, VT1) examinations using procedures and component drawings, perform calibrations for straight beam and documenting/recording findings, as directed by procedures.
Required education, experience, and documentation:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Hold current Level II certifications in the following disciplines:
- UT Level II-Limited
- MT Level II
- PT Level II
- VT1 Level II
- Must be able to provide documentation of classroom/lab training as well as all OJT/Experience hours for each method (equal to or more than minimum number of hours to qualify as a level II inspector, as required for each assignment)

- Perform all the duties pertaining to BOP (Balance of Plant) Level II (UT-IIL) for straight beam Level II MT/PT/VT 1
- When required, act as a point of contact with the customer (Siemens) in respect to performing the necessary duties.
- Ability to read drawings, identify components by configuration (pipe runs) and identifying tags.
- Must be willing to travel (2-3 months of the year) as well as travel to Houston or Wilmington for training, and or testing.
- Candidate must be dependable and be able to report to work fit for duty, and on time while working 10-12 hours a day, 6-7 days a week.
- Should maintain a questioning attitude and have a willingness to listen when given verbal directions/instructions.
- Mentor/instruct level I trainee in all aspects of performing exams, following procedures, and teaching proper methods for reading drawings and identifying correct components.
- Willingness to learn and take the initiative in new situations and environments.
- Highly motivated to be successful and help the entire team be successful.
- Ability to make sound, independent decisions, in the field, based on functional expertise and experience (e.g., when more insulation needs to be removed, or when surface prep is required, if there are external damages, etc.).
- Be a self-starter and capable of working independently.
Work environment
Work will occur in a nuclear power plant, which is a radioactively controlled environment, primarily in the US, with some customers requiring international travel.
Physical demands
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work in heightened environments on or off scaffolds.
- Must be able to wear a harness.
- Must be able to carry 20lbs.
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, climb, and extend as required for the job.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to work in high heat environments.

Required eligibility requirements
- Clean background with no outstanding/pending charges
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test at time of hire and random
- Valid Driver’s License

- Non-US Citizen must hold current work visa or green card
