Job Title: Nuclear Station Rod Engineer

Candidate must be willing to be onsite 50% of the time
Must be local or willing to relocate

• Per Diem: $640/week

Top 3 Required Skills
1) Experience with Westinghouse digital rod positions systems
2) Experience with Westinghouse analog rod control system
3) Experience with digital upgrades – process of converting from analog to digital

Soft skill requirements

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

Nice to Have Skills:

• Design review and implementation experience

High Level Project Overview:

• Scope of Work: Station RE for Phase 0 & 1A & 1B & 2A - 1 on-site and 3 move to Inns Tab - Rod Position Indication and Rod Control system requirements specs

Preferred Years of Experience:

• 10+ years of experience

Education:

• Preferred Degree in Mechanical Engineering (empahsis in Instrumentation) or Electrical Engineering

Ideal Background

• Commercial utilities industry

Location = Surry, VA

Rate = $70 - $92/hr on a W2 contract

Length = 1+ Year W2 contract - possible long term extension for the right candidate

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $70.00 - $92.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Surry, VA 23883: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Nuclear Power Plant: 1 year (Preferred)
• Westinghouse rod position and control systems: 1 year (Required)
