NURSE AIDE IN TRAINING

Qualified candidates must be:
Currently enrolled in a state approved nurse aide training program or a completion certificate from a state approved nurse aide training program.
At least 18 years of age.
Able to pass background check.
Must pass competency test within 120 days.
As a Nurse Aide in Training you will:
- Assist with the provision of care and services related to activities of daily living and/or as directed by the staff nurse.
- Report all concerns, complaints made by the residents or their family to the Administrator.
- Make rounds to assure residents are safe and comfortable.
- Participate in In-service Education Programs.
- Inventory residents personal possessions.
- Assist residents with packing personal possessions when they are transferred to a new room or when being discharged.
- Maintain intake and output records as instructed. Check and report bowel movements and character of stools.
- Make occupied and unoccupied beds, changes bed linens, and straightens rooms, closet, and drawers.
- Answer call lights promptly.
- Obtain blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, heights, and weights as needed.
- Does complete check of skin condition when dressing, undressing, turning/repositioning, etc. Reports any skin abnormalities to the Staff Nurse.
- Record resident food/fluid intake.
- Keep customers water pitchers clean and filled with fresh water on each shift.
- Serve between meals and bedtime snacks.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
