Job Summary and Qualifications

TheEmergency Room Market Educatoris responsible for organizing, directing and implementing an infrastructure for a systems-approach to the clinical education service line in assigned market. This includes support for activities related to classroom coordination, registration oversight, and documentation of participation, scheduling, and procuring teaching materials. This position will perform a variety of quality data entry and management functions that will include data entry, routine database maintenance and standard report generation, verification and distribution. This individual will serve as the HealthStream administrator within their assigned market.

• Supports a culture of accountability for effectively managing expenses that will result in delivering cost-effective clinical education in the hospitals that we serve
• Provides timely, accurate, and professional support to the clinical education team
• Oversees programs and processes for program evaluation and feedback to operational leaders, educators, and participants
• Manage and distribute data reports that may include quality, education and patient experience

Additional Responsibilities

• Adheres to HCA Code of Conduct
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
• Must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations
• Must be flexible to work evenings and nights to meet the educational needs of the clinicians
• Assist in providing simulation models in the simulation lab

Education and Experience

• Required: Bachelor's degree; must be in Nursing if the applicant does not have an Masters Science in Nursing
• Preferred: Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Education or other clinical field
• Required: 3+ years of experience in clinical education; 3+ years’ experience in specialty in an acute care hospital
• Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Licenses, Certifications, & Training

• Required: Currently licensed appropriate to education in the state(s) in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation
• Preferred: Certification as NPD Practitioner
• Required: Specialty certification as recognized by the American Nurse Credentialing Center
• Required: BLS
