Nurse Practitioner

Our private medical practice located in Oak Brook Illinois has expanded to Oaklawn and Orland Park. We are growing fast and are excited to add a Nurse Practitioner to our team to care for patients in all three locations. The position will work at our contemporary Oak Brook location with one to two days per week at the satellite locations, and will expand hours at the satellite locations as patient volume grows. Days at each location are consistent so you can plan your days. We offer an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the field of interventional pain management, lead some clinical and non-clinical projects, and work with caring physicians who enjoy teaching.

Advanced Pain Consultants is a comprehensive full-time pain management office providing acute and chronic patients with interventional pain management therapies, medication management, on-site physical therapy and psychological counseling. We are seeking an experienced nurse practitioner who is dedicated to providing quality and compassionate care to patients under the supervision of the physician. This position is responsible for a variety of duties including obtaining medical and personal histories, performing physical exams, assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, and appropriate lab work, collaborating on patient treatment plans, and thoroughly documenting all elements of the patient interaction in our electronic medical record, eClinical Works. The nurse practitioner will be responsible for medication management, monitoring patient compliance with treatment plans, and may assist with variety of joint injections and trigger point injections. Of course an important part of patient care is educating patients and families about their pain and best options for treatment. This individual must be able to advocate for patients and competently collaborate with other providers who are caring for the same patient. Additional responsibilities may include presenting education to seniors, community events, and to primary care and specialty offices to promote our practice and the effectiveness of various treatment modalities available in pain management.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional to broaden their clinical experience as a key member of this growing practice. The successful candidate must have completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, be licensed in Illinois, and hold a current active DEA and CSR registration. Experience in a medical practice as a nurse practitioner in pain management or orthopedics, neurosurgery practice, pre/post operative nursing care, or other similar experience is strongly preferred.
