Nurse Practitioner: Wellness Center Position Summary

Administratively the nurse practitioner/coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the wellness center. She/he works closely with the program manager to provide budget oversight and supervision of center staff. Working with the program manager she/he acts as a liaison between the center and the school, the Delaware Division of Public Health, and Nanticoke Health Services. As the primary provider of medical services in the wellness center the NP/coordinator works with a collaborating physician to provide services as agreed upon by the school district and listed in the menu of services of their wellness center, practicing in accordance with the regulations of the advance practice nurse in the state of Delaware. She/he also coordinates care with the patient’s primary care provider as appropriate and with wellness center team members including the counselor and the registered dietician.

Nurse Practitioner: Wellness Center Position Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Nursing
• Graduate of an Accredited Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner Program
• National Certification as a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience as Nurse Practitioner, 2 or more years preferred

• Monday-Friday 7:30a-4:00p

• At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
