Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities:

• Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
• Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
• Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
• Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
• Refers for specialty care when determined.
• Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Physician Assistant scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.
• Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff.
• Acts as resource to members of the team.

Job Requirements:

• Master's degree completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience required.
• Must have wound care certification or wound care experience.
• Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner - ANCC or AANP certification within specialty required upon hire.
• BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.
• Drug Enforcement Administration upon hire required.

Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute - Vascular wound care clinic is seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join the practice.

• Casual position. Weekdays. No Weekends, no holidays, no call.
• On average, this role will provide services 2-3 days per month.
• Outpatient position.
• This role will provide services at our Minneapolis and of St. Paul clinics. Clinics located at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis and United Hospital in St. Paul.
• Team is led by an Advanced Practice Provider.
• Team provides advanced wound care therapies for the full scope of wounds.
