Job description
The Nursing Technician performs basic nursing care and procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Performs basic patient care attending to the physical and emotional needs of the patient in a family-oriented environment.
- Documentation complies with hospital policy and procedure and other regulatory agencies.
- Effectively understands and operates essential equipment used routinely on the unit.
- Requires regular contact with other people in or out of the department, but of a routine nature, requiring courtesy, tact, and diplomacy. Teamwork is an essential part of the nurse technician's role.
- Demonstrates behaviors necessary for age-specific care and knowledge of the decision-making processes for all ages of the population(s) served.
Qualifications:
- Required Ability to Read and Write
- Basic Life Supp (BLS)
