~~ Carleton Healthcare is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assume the role of Director of Rehabilitation services in their Skilled Nursing Facility setting ~~

The Director of Rehabilitation is responsible for assuring the accountability, planning, organizing, and directing of the facility therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and to assist residents in obtaining optimal functional level while maintaining quality resident care.

Job Duties:

• Adhere to productivity requirements for patient care
• Act as a team leader/mentor to all members of the rehab team
• Ensure proper identification of patients’ payor source
• Ensure appropriate authorization for patients with various payor sources.
• Ensure proper HCPCS codes utilization
• Attend care plan meetings for patients on caseload
• Ensure clinical programs of all disciplines are running appropriately
• Assist in developing and implementing new programs as needed
• Ensure resident screening process is effective
• Ensure documentation is completed and filed in a timely manner
• Assist in chart auditing
• Ensure physician orders are obtained and signed as needed
• Ensure evaluations and treatments are done in a timely manner
• Act as a representative for the rehabilitation department to communicate with the facility and members of the interdisciplinary team
• Sign and verify accuracy of all time sheets and calculate statistics for all disciplines
• Attend meetings required by the facility, including Medicare meeting, utilization review
• Ensure rehab staff compliance to all policies and procedures
• Educate staff and team as applicable
• Review all logs and billing at months end for accuracy and submission in a timely manner
• Ensure claims on review are submitted accurately and in a timely manner
• Monitor staff’s performance

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited university with an MS, MA, BS, BA or Associates degree in Occupational Therapy
• Holds current Pennsylvania license for discipline
• CPR certificate

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
