Position Overview
This position supports a highly important role - the first interaction our clients and vendors have with our company. We are looking for an eager, hard-working, friendly office/event assistant whose purpose is to be the face and voice of Cohost, help keep the office organized and support our event planning team.

Company Overview

Cohost is a non-traditional catering company that partners with the best restaurants in Dallas to produce catering events. Restaurants cook, clients invite the guests, Cohost does the rest - coordinates, transports food/equipment, and provides rentals and staffing. We are rapidly growing and are searching for an amazing candidate to join our team of Cohosts!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and respond to emails in a polite and friendly manner
  • Assist with data entry
  • Assist office manager, service manager, logistics coordinator, receptionist and other employees with various tasks
  • Learn all aspects of Cohost in order to properly handle phone and email inquiries
  • Help run errands when needed
  • Serve at events.

Education/Experience Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous office experience required
  • Restaurant or catering experience required

  • Must adapt to Cohost vision: to establish a highly efficient event company that is a blessing to our clients, vendors, staff and community
  • Anticipate, prevent, identify and solve problems as necessary.
  • Positive and upbeat attitude with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to our clients and vendors
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with clients, guests, vendors, teammates/management, in person, in writing and on the telephone

Characteristic Qualifications

  • Highly organized/strong attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and ability to function independently and intuitively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Self starter and excellent time management
  • Ability to adapt to new responsibilities and work on multiple project aspects at once
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and Google applications. Mac software is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to adapt with proficiency and positivity to changing technology
  • Must be passionate about service, food and local restaurants

Working Conditions

  • Full time 32-40 hours a week.
  • Must be willing to work events as needed. (Some weekdays, evenings, weekends)
  • May require occasional lifting not to exceed 30 pounds.
  • Must have good driving record, possess a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance, and have the ability to physically drive a vehicle
  • Willingness to use personal vehicle for deliveries and offsite events

Compensation

  • $19/hour (plus tips when working events)
  • Eligible for PTO after 90 days.
  • Growth and bonus potential.
  • Eligible for health insurance after 90 days (company pays 50% of individual policy)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour
