Office Assistant

Looking for a personable individual to fill a rewarding position at a monument company. Position is full time, Monday-Friday, 9-5, and based in Medford, NY - with an occasional need to work at our two additional locations in Center Moriches and Ronkonkoma

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Data Entry
  • Preparing and submitting necessary paperwork for applications
  • Coordination with other office staff and with cemetery personnel
  • Attending to customer queries in person and over the phone in a friendly and timely manner
  • Supporting office manager with other administrative duties as needed.
  • Proofreading

Depending on the candidate, additional responsibilities may include:

  • Bookkeeping in QuickBooks
  • Using CAD program to render drawings to scale for customers and for monument production.

Job requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Attention to detail
  • Sensitivity towards grieving persons
  • Proficiency with standard software (word, excel, outlook, etc.)
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software

Other info:

  • Experience with photo shop, CAD programs, and/or Quickbooks is a plus
  • Spanish Speaking is a plus

This is a unique job that will require learning new skills. No relevant experience is required, but enthusiasm to learn is imperative. Creative individuals are encouraged to apply.
