Job description
WE KINDLY ASK YOU NOT WASTE OUR TIME AND WE WILL NOT WASTE YOURS. WE RECEIVE MANY RESUMES AND WHEN WE ATTEMPT TO ARRANGE INTERVIEWS MANY DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONES OR RETURN OUR PHONE CALLS. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR RESUME IF YOU ARE NOT SERIOUS ABOUT FINDING A CAREER.
Do you get excited when your friend asks you to assemble something for them?
Do you like to work with your hands?
Do you like to work with tools?
Do you like perfection?
You JUST might be the right fit for us…
We need a few “Go To”, “Get It Done Right the First Time,” individuals to add to our team.
To be a Great Installer, these are the five personality traits essential for success;
1. You need to have a strong (almost neurotic) attention to detail.
2. You need to like challenges.
3. You need to like to stay in shape and do physical labor. (You will likely sweat a little during the summers).
4. You need to enjoy initially seeing a blank slate and then the finished work.
5. You need to care and take pride in what you do.
If you have those traits and are still here, we would love to meet with you in person and learn about your background and goals.
Many people have started in this role and have eventually moved upward, so please do not feel there is no where to advance. It all depends on YOU.
Now the “meat and potatoes” of the job.
- We receive furniture products of many types either at our company warehouse or direct at a customer location.
- We unload, de-box, de-trash, stage, assemble, and prep all products for end-user use.
- We lift, move, hang on walls, reconfigure, load and unload, transport product each and every day.
- We work in all types of businesses, schools, hospitals, hotels, etc. and polite interaction with clients and other trades is very important.
- We also travel occasionally to exotic locations such as Midland, TX, Shreveport, LA, Roswell, NM to do our work (who would not love the scenery of these places)?
(We installed a project in Florida Keys once, but not sure those installers ever came back)…
