This position is responsible for providing administrative support primarily to the Site Director and other staff as directed. Duties include but are not limited to, taking lead on all regional center related duties, scheduling for students and staff, greeting visitors, answering and directing incoming calls, maintaining general files and student records, assisting with payroll processing and student transportation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
___1. Organizes, tracks, produces and submits student quarterly budgets for all
regional center consumers.
___2. Uploads and records purchase of service orders for all regional center
consumers.
___3. Trains all students and staff on regional center expectations and consumer
rights and responsibilities
___4. Organizes completion of quarterly reports and submits to regional center
service coordinators. Assist with oversight of quality assurance audits with
regional center.
___5. Tracks student attendance, logs and calculates mileage for Regional Center
billing
___6. Assists in producing, updating, and maintaining weakly schedules for students and staff utilizing required software application. Assures changes in schedules are appropriately communicated to affected staff and students.
___7. Distributes weekly schedules to student

1. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, preferably working with special needs students.
Proficiency is required in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
2. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid state driver’s license with appropriate endorsement.
3. LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, students, parents, and the general public.
4. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform basic math functions and calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
5. REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency situation and make independent decisions.
6. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally be required to climb or balance and stoop or kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distant, and peripheral vision, color and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
7. WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment for this position is generally a typical office setting. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to students who may ask inappropriate personal questions, display socially unacceptable personal behaviors, use profanity and sexually explicit phrases, make insulting remarks or threats regarding appearance, age, sex, or race, and exhibit defiance, dishonesty, and assaultive or self destructive behaviors. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, and may be subject to occasional travel as required by facility needs. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
