Position Summary*
Reporting to the Long-Term CareWorks Program Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) Aide Instructor will be part of a team of professionals who help deliver the benefits of Labor-Management Trusts. We are seeking nurses with long-term care and teaching/supervisory experience to lead quality Nurse Aide certification programs. A passion to see others succeed is essential. Flexibility will be key for this role as it relates to scheduling classes/lab hours. This individual must be a certified RN in the state of Oregon with at least two years of nursing experience. Experience as an instructor is preferred.

Essential Functions*
- Work under the direction of the Long-Term CareWorks Program Manager to ensure program outcomes are reached
- Design, develop, and deliver online courses, instructor-led courses, facilitator manuals, participant guides, and training aids for both modular asynchronous and synchronous training
- Utilize adult learning principles and best practices to best fit the needs of learners
- Utilize resourcefulness and curiosity to come up with creative solutions to deliver trainings
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new learning models and content design templates
- Organize and prioritize work project plans and provide regular status updates to Long-Term CareWorks Director and other designated stakeholders
- Stay up to date with adult learning trends
- Provide recommendations for changes to curriculum and/or facilitation technique
- Manage the virtual and in-person class to provide an exceptional and equitable learning experience
- Facilitate online learning via learning management system
- Continuously improve facilitation skills based on taking part in professional development opportunities, and feedback from director supervisor and training team members
- Support apprentices in their career advancement
- Perform work with patients and students in a clinical setting
- Prepare apprentices for state exam
- Adhere to federal and state guidelines for program
- Attend training provided by OSBN
- Ensure system updates are done in a timely manner
- Develop core competencies in all aspects of the Trusts, to include, but not limited to Affordable Care Act, Medicaid, Medicare
- Work with and protect sensitive and confidential information using appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards in compliance with HIPAA and HITECH
- Ability to work with diverse communities, including members from different socio-economic, race, religion, and language backgrounds including members who identify as LGBTQQI

Experience
- At least two years of nursing experience required
- Teaching experience required
- Experience working in a long-term care facility preferred
