Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) is responsible for providing eligible program participants with compensable service-connected disabilities, all services and assistance necessary to enable them to the maximum extent possible, to become employable and to obtain and maintain suitable employment and achieve maximum independence in daily living. This position is presently classified as REMOTE and PART-TIME.

The VR&E team is looking for an Onboarding Coordinator/Project Controller. The Onboarding Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for new team members and oversees the procedures our company follows before and after hiring new employees. The Onboarding Coordinator should be able to help new team members adjust to their work environment while ensuring all onboarding procedures have been executed successfully.

The Project Controller will support the definition of program goals, requirements, and objectives, monitor the budget and schedule, analyze progress reported against work schedules and recommend actions to improve progress. The Project Controller will support program/project planning, setting up and maintaining the program in Costpoint, works with the project scheduler to develop, maintain, and monitor the cost and schedule baselines, and monitor the cost and schedule of the program subcontractors and vendors.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process company employment and VA security/access paperwork

  • Organize onboarding and orientation programs for new employees

  • Assist internal employees transition to the VR&E program team

  • Facilitate the process for obtaining office equipment for team members

  • Facilitate the process for obtaining corporate accounts for team members

  • Facilitate the process for obtaining VA accounts and GFE.

  • Independently perform monthly and quarterly reports for the program

  • Communicate monthly costs metrics to management team

  • Track subcontractor hours and costs and assess funding needs

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 – 8 years of relevant experience

  • Familiar with employment and VA security paperwork

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively interact with others and work independently

  • Familiar with basic professional software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Detail oriented with strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance

  • Due to Government contract, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree and 2 – 6 years of relevant experience

  • Previous project controls experience in a VA contract setting

  • Previous experience using Costpoint

Pay Range:

Pay Range $66,300.00 - $102,000.00 - $137,700.00
