Description:


Responsible for scheduling infusion treatments, transfusions, and labs for oncology patients. Navigate EHR & understand treatments plans ordered by physicians. Attend to the Oncology Request Queue to ensure patients are being scheduled for new treatments and change of treatments in a timely manner. Utilize scheduling guidelines and medication lists, for chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy medications, to make certain patients are receiving treatment safely. Collaborate with infusion nurses and triage APPs to ensure patients are scheduled appropriately prior to discharge. Communicate with infusion leadership to maximize productivity towards clinic flow. Interact and coordinate care with clinical staff, including physicians and APPs, to confirm and review treatment regimens and overall plan of care. Refer patients to Express Symptom Management, if patient requests an urgent visit. Estimated pay range for this position is $17.36 - $21.01 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications:


High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED or experience required. Experience in Healthcare and/or Customer Service setting, Oncology background strongly preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Scheduling Systems (i.e. Soarian, Cerner, Centricity, Pathways Healthcare Scheduling, Chartlinks etc.) Medical Terminology required. Experience with high volume calls. Excellent verbal and written communication. Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills. Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to multi-task. Minimum Required Experience: 3 years
