Summary
Manage overall operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures. Will ensure safe and efficient production operations and the successful implementation and execution of production plans. This position incorporates strategic, tactical, and technical objectives to meet current and projected production goals. Responsible for increasing efficiency and productivity through training and development of the team and utilizing lean processes. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership for continuous process improvements across all work centers in coordination with COS Lean Manager.
  • Oversees the process flow of operations to ensure customer needs are met for quality and on-time delivery.
  • Supports quality improvement and assurances in production to ensure stable output and reduce scrap and rework.
  • Coordinates activities of all production areas and actively collaborates across all functional areas to meet SQDCI goals.
  • Works with direct reports to plan and execute actions to achieve SQDCI goals. Analyzes and takes action to close performance result gaps to goals on a daily/monthly basis.
  • Manages facilities requirements and ensures safe working conditions and upkeep of facilities and equipment.
  • Responsible for the operational portion of 6S, TPM, Kaizen, and other programs implemented across the facility.
  • Strategic planning through the SIOP process to ensure a plan to achieve goals and growth objectives.
  • Develop a flexible workforce with the skills required for company growth.

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment and Conditions
This is an air-conditioned facility with moderate levels of fumes, dust, noise, and hazardous/toxic chemicals. Appropriate training is provided and documented based on job placement that complies with OSHA and EPA regulations.
Personal Protective Equipment Requirements

  • ASTM F–2412–2005, ANSI Z41–1999, or ANSI Z41–1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.
  • Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas.
  • Hearing protection, in specific locations.
  • Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.

Export Compliance
This position includes access or potential access to ITAR and/or EAR technical data. Therefore, candidates will need to qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, or a Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).
TRAVEL
Travel is generally not required for this position. However, there may be circumstances where visits to other facilities will be required. 10 - 25%.
Manager Responsibilities
Directly supervises 5 Cell Managers and Facilities Manager across three (3) shifts. Fulfills Manager responsibilities in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws. Developing and growing direct reports as well as direct labor to build a flexible team.

Qualifications

  • Operations or Manufacturing Manager experience. Cable and electronic component experience desired.
  • Management skills include manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering.
  • Strong Management and Team Building Skills; Supervisory experience is required.
  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement.
  • An energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and a positive professional image.
  • Ability to be flexible and able to function comfortably in a fast-paced, constantly changing, and ambiguous environment.
  • Effective communication skills providing information and updates or responding to questions from managers, customers, suppliers, and employees.
  • Ability to establish relations with a wide range of personalities, cultural backgrounds, and educational levels.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions to drive action.

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking, reaching in office and manufacturing environment. Must follow safety policies and wear designated PPE as required.
