Laborie Medical Technologies is currently searching for an Operations Manager to join our team in the Westborough, MA office.

Position Overview:

Responsible for managing all aspects of manufacturing and engineering operations. Responsible to deliver results that meet Safety, Quality, Service, Cost and Talent criteria. Develops both short- and long-term strategies to enable quality improvement, cost reduction, and enable optimization of manufacturing processes. Manages Operational staff to include production leaders and process engineering.

How you contribute:

• Manage subordinate production supervisors who lead manufacturing staff and Manufacturing Engineering team.
• Be primary representative for manufacturing and Engineering departments during audits and inspections. Accountable for implementation of regulatory commitments.
• Meet all budgetary requirements
• Participate in FMEA and RCA events to ensure proactive approach to risk mitigation, and identification of true root cause and preventative actions.
• Author and drive completion of Quality documents example Deviations, Change Controls, CAPA, OTN, Batch Release change control assessments etc
• Lead continuous improvement projects identified through visual management system in partnership with area management
• Collaborate with area management, Engineering, Technical Services and other support tasks to improve manufacturing process, drive continuous improvement projects and training.
• Ensure customer service is met through schedule attainment and in compliance with all quality procedures.
• Accountable for any plant projects in support of overall Operations Strategy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field
• 5 – 7 years manufacturing operations experience preferably in a medical device company
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Cross-functional experience with focus on project management and execution of moderate to complex tasks
• Strong attention to deal
• Multitasking and time-management skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
• Operational knowledge of GMP processes and general biopharmaceutical production environment
• Knowledge of cGMPs and applicable agency regulations (such as FDA, EMA)
• Good problem-solving abilities
• Objective and Proven Operational Continuous Improvement Experience
