This role supports the Healthcare Operations supervisor manage and coordinate administrative and clinical services for multiple physician office sites. Assists the department in helping oversee the general functioning of the healthcare facilities. This position requires the ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently as needed. Must have exceptional communication, organization skills, and be detail oriented.



Responsibilities:
  • Assists the operations supervisor as needed with the daily functioning of the healthcare centers/practices.
  • Assists the operations supervisor in managing current projects and initiatives.
  • Serves as a liaison for the practices supporting their needs by working with IT, HR, accounting, finance, and marketing.
  • When covering at practice locations, the incumbent must work with Human Resources to organize recruitment and placement of required staff.
  • Ability to create reports as needed for the operations supervisor.
  • When covering at site locations, communicates regularly with medical and non-medical staff to create an efficient work environment.
  • Ability to work with the operations supervisor as a liaison to the Practice Administrators/Office Managers to address any operational needs as they arise.
  • Must maintain current knowledge of health care issues, standards of practice and have a basic understanding of CPT/ICD-10 codes for onsite practice support.
  • Assists in the on-boarding process of all new practices that become part of the network.
  • May need to routinely travel to and from all practice locations to effectively perform job responsibilities as required.
  • Helps oversee practices when administrators are out on medical leave, or there are gaps between termination and recruitment of positions. Coverage of the position requires: managing staff, handling patient issues/concerns, insurance verifications, ordering supplies, processing payment vouchers and overseeing the workflow for communicating charge reports to corporate.
  • Helps distribute and track all PPE orders
  • Monitors the SBCM EMPI mailbox for duplicate SBCM patient accounts within the Cerner System. Corrects and merges accounts and notifies practice managers of recurring duplicate accounts from their practices.
  • Basic administrative functions; filing, faxing, answering phones, distributing mail, ordering office supplies.

Position Requirements
Qualifications:
  • College degree preferred
  • Familiarity with operational workflows.
  • Have 3+ years of experience in healthcare.
  • Motivated by solving problems, finding efficiencies, and seeing the results of your effort.
  • Exudes professionalism in verbal and written communications.
  • Working knowledge of business and management principles and practices.
  • Information technology skills.
  • Prior use of Cerner electronic medical record and experience with Cerner SPM module a plus.

Physical Demands: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and have manual dexterity to work on computer systems and keyboard. This is not a remote position.
